DISC Basis

For teams that want to better understand DISC and themselves

Practical info

The DISC QUIZ is an interactive training session where theory and team building come together.
In a playful way, you'll discover the DISC model and yourself. Each participant completes a personal profile test beforehand and gains insight into their own behaviour and communication. During the session, we translate these insights directly into practice.

We're translating the DISC model into bird species: Who from your team are the red robins, yellow canaries, blue doves, and green budgies? 🐥

What does it deliver?
  • Insight into your own behavioural and communication style

  • Greater understanding for colleagues and their preferred styles

  • A solid foundation for better cooperation and connection

  • A more connected team

Example Programme (Part 1)

Opening & colour choice (12:00 - 12:15)

  • Welcome and introduction by the trainer
  • DISC model and bird species: a brief explanation The DISC model is a tool used to understand and describe behaviour. It categorises people into four main behavioural styles: * **D**ominance: Direct, decisive, results-oriented, and problem-solving personalities. * **I**nfluence: Enthusiastic, optimistic, friendly, and lively personalities. * **S**teadiness: Calm, patient, predictable, and team-oriented personalities. * **C**onscientiousness: Analytical, systematic, precise, and fact-oriented personalities. The "bird species" analogy is a popular way to make the DISC model more accessible and memorable. Each behavioural style is assigned a bird that embodies its characteristics: * **Eagle (D - Dominance):** Eagles are often seen as leaders. They are independent, assertive, and focused on their goals, much like a dominant personality. * **Parrot (I - Influence):** Parrots are known for being social, colourful, and vocal. This aligns with the enthusiastic and outgoing nature of the influence style. * **Dove (S - Steadiness):** Doves are typically perceived as peaceful and gentle. This reflects the calm, supportive, and harmonious approach of the steadiness style. * **Owl (C - Conscientiousness):** Owls are often associated with wisdom and careful observation. Their meticulous and analytical nature corresponds well with the conscientious style. This analogy helps people quickly grasp the core traits of each DISC style by associating them with familiar bird characteristics.
  • Teams are created based on DISC colours

Very nice, we all got to know each other better in a slightly different way. Nice to also receive a report of the DISC analysis to review later. Thanks for the fun morning!

We did very nice team-building activity. It was fun to work together in a different way and to get to know each other on a different level. We were fairly last minute with our outing, but we still managed to make it a very fun day and evening. Chapeau!
