Team building is as old as mankind. As are events. The Romans were already fighting "games" in their Colosseum. A legendary game is, of course, the Gladiator games. In these, warriors fought each other and the winner lived. A simple but effective game. Those were team-building outings! Fortunately, times have changed. Nowadays, we play for points and the winner gets a nice trophy to take home. Team building outings are often themed. Around Christmas, there are many teambuilding outings that use winter elements. A Father Christmas, Christmas trees and decorations. What about a Christmas Dinner game? Or Curling on ice?
Trends within team building outings
Currently, there are some popular team building outings. They cleverly capitalise on everyday trends. Not only by having a theme, but also by using technical marvels. With good technical capabilities, these days you can even book a VR game! What about a VR murder dinner? Or a war reenacted on the streets? Through your glasses, you see a fictional army, but it looks lifelike!
Good old technology
Tablet games, too, are still doing very well. Like City-Games: here you walk through a city and do various assignments. The GPS on your tablet knows where your team is and gives assignments. You can take a picture, answer a question or get an action assignment. This is how you earn points and the team with the most points wins the outing. What we do as team building outings
Around a fun event like Christmas, we can adapt our teambuilding games in terms of theme. How about the Christmas Jokes game? Then we hide terms in it that Santa also uses too often. And the so-called Jingle-Bells round. Who knows, can ring! Our techniques are otherwise timeless, because we believe in the power of direct communication. Personal, customised and good presentation. These are some of our beliefs. Apart from that, we do not rule out combining a cool technique with these elements in the near future. Because technology remains progress, provided you use it well. It should not become leading, but rather strengthen your own strengths. That way, all teambuilding outings remain a party!
